Dietmar Hamann,Jamie Carragher,Steve Cooper and Gabby Agbonlahor have all hit out at Richarlison for this,Hamann even thinks he should have been booked.

Yep, all of them renowned for showboating in their time.
Jesus wept.

This is probably the closest you'll get to Steve Cooper showboating

I commented on this in the Forest thread, it was a lovely bit of skill by young Brennan, beautiful to see.

Same as why Cabango got his second yellow for us on Saturday as well.

It's there a rule in football that says you can't showboat, if that was done by Ronaldhinio they would be creaming over it, on the other hand is there a rule about deliberately clattering into a player, yeah I thought so. Not sure why this is even a thing.

Was amusing to watch as it shows a degree of confidence but highly amusing to see the reaction as well

Although less so when Ben got his second yellow on Saturday

" it was a lovely bit of skill by young Brennan" it was lovely stuff.

Richarlison as got a reputation a bit of a scroat so it was well deserved.

Prosser hunting the internet again for somin to post about nothing.

They were 2-0 up, he was in acres of space, can’t see the problem really.

Doesn't bother me to see showboating, in fact it brightens the game up. We've had a few club legends "guilty" of it.
Needless challenge from Johnson, school yard stuff.
Hope he doesn't do that in the red of Wales!

Richarlison was entitled to do it and I'm sure he knew full well he'd get a kicking for it. It wasted more time for his team and got an opponent a booking, so I'm sure he was delighted.

Don't get the hand wringing over it or those complaining about Johnson's reaction. It's obviously going to piss the other team off because it's basically saying that we're so much better than you that I can just stand here playing keepy-uppy. A great bit of skill in service of trying to score a goal is one thing, this is not that. But there's no rules against it, so the usual talking heads are talking as much shit as normal.

I especially enjoyed the one-two aspect of Forest's vengeance, with Johnson's tackle being followed by another player (Neco Williams I think) landing on RIcharlison. Hope he got a sneaky elbow in...

Its interesting that all the "expert" pundits have jumped on the showboating but have conveniently forgotten the latest amount of play acting he did just a few minutes earlier. For some reason that barely warrants a mention...

A player is entitled to do anything he likes with the ball within the rules. Would the reaction have been the same if he'd taken the ball into the corner and shielded it, then got clattered? I thought Johnson was very lucky not to be shown red.
Reminded me of a certain Mr Pintado and Mr Savage.
