I see that Sainsbury’s is closing for good at the end of the month. Anyone know what’s replacing it. There’s bound to be some busy c*** on her who knows what’s going on

Nash Sports gone too, which was an institution. And the Swansea Sharks swim/triathlon shop.

These little hubs are super important to the area. We moved out Bishopston way 5 or 6 years ago now, but used to live between Sketty and Uplands and we still shop there more than anywhere else. Still miss the butchers in Sketty

Co-op have taken over Sainsburys.

Pity about Nash's - Even though the son recently tried rebranding it and taking it from from the 60's to an 80's looking shop, it was always destined to fail.

As regards the Sharks opposite, rumour had it that they only went in there to (allegedly) launder some money for a few years and get back out again.

Half of it's been converted into an office. I think there's still a counter or collection point though.
