• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Exactly the same experience for me at Bristol last week, Darren.
We were told to sit in our ticketed seats by the stewards, no choice
Surrounded by teen yobos who spent the whole game gesturing at the Bristol hardcore away to our left, no interest in the match.

Surely not, I spoke to a couple of tidy stewards last week at Bristol, and as far as sitting,?? After half time, did seem a bit of bish bosh mash, trying to get through people. People standing at the front of the stairwell, a quick polite can I get through, solved the problem.

I didn't mean sitting as in "sit down". I meant you had to stay in your place. Of course I had to stand for the whole match like everybody else.

It’s very odd behaviour to pay good money for your ticket and not take any interest in what you’ve paid to see.

Can you imagine going to the cinema and ignoring the film that’s being shown on the big screen in front of you?

They couldn't give damn about football. They just use it as a vehicle so that they can get plastered and shout vile abuse to some other tribe. Win, lose or draw makes no difference to them.

We were saying that yesterday.
My 8 year old grandson needed a slash about 20 minutes into the game a few weeks ago so I took him to the toilet and the amount of people on the concourse with a pint was bizarre.
My theory is that a lot of men are under the thumb and aren’t allowed out so they use the excuse of going to the football to get bladdered.

On the flip side if the football was a little more entertaining it would entice people to sit in their seats.

I’ve watched quite a few second half’s over the last few years from the bar inside the ground.
The game we beat Bristol City 7-1 I saw one of the goals, I was downstairs drinking for all the others 🙃
