Some questions after tonight's game ...

Another three points is a great result. The euphoria of a 90th minute winner is also fantastic.

While I wasn't able to be there tonight, I'd be interested in some reactions.

If the match had ended 1-1, and their goalkeeper hadn't made two howlers, what would have been your view on the game overall ? Did the 90th winner skew your view ie euphoric relief ?

Is Matos changing the culture, were we more aggressive and forward thinking ? ( even though we do not have clinical skill in the final third).

What additions do we still need in the New Year ? And do we return some loanees ?

Was Matos proved right in not substituting Ronald ? ( some match day thread observers were going nuts when he wasn't subbed). Would the majority at the game have applauded a half time sub ?

Are we kidding ourselves whether we are more than a middling side based on this result ?(with this squad) . Do we see ourselves pushing up the table from here on in ?

More questions than answers maybe 🤔
If the match had ended 1-1 I would have been satisfied but disappointed. Still we won so happy days.

Yes I believe we are more forward thinking, we press more agressively, get more shots off and there is less turning back and making a safe pass rather than taking a risk.

We should look to strengthen in the new year I would say priority is a right back. I've been disappointed with Benson as a loan signing so if I was to return anyone it would be him. I would look to keep the other loanees.

When Eom came on I might well have taken Ronald off but didn't think it was that big a call to take Inoussa off instead I guess Matos was proved right.

I think we are a mid-table side I've thought that all season we need to keep picking up points to ease relegation fears. There will be some setbacks going forward but we need to keep improving. 3 home wins in a row now so hopefully this can continue.

Overall I enjoyed the game, great to see the stadium full, onwards and upwards.

Great win. Cant fault players for effort and endeavour
I thought the midfield 3 of Widdel, Franco and especially Staminic played well. Staminic was a threat and was always driving forewarn. So much so, his teammates couldn’t keep up, then he had to stop, regress and either pass sideways or backwards.
One thing we really need to improve on is our crossing. We can never seem to beat the first man, and this is really frustrating which needs addressing.
Not sure I'd include Franco in those who played well. He's gone backwards since last season, and Vic Tomatoes needs to give him and Ronald a big Portuguese kick up the arse for all the diving they're doing.
I thought the defence played very well, particularly the centre backs, after Burgess got over his aberration. So much of Wrexham's attacks start with lumping high balls up to Moore, but they pretty much kept him quiet all match.
Wrexham really got on my bosoms with all the hands and arms in faces when challenging for the ball, pretty much ignored by the ref, apart from booking shitehouse McClean for an arm across Inoussa's face.
Staminic is getting stronger with every game. And even Fulton put in a good cameo at the end. Well done, boys, a great gutsy display. I woke up at seven o'clock this morning still buzzing. Off to see if BBC Wales news mentions the game now!

In my view the players who had a good game was Vigs, Cabango (kept Moore quiet in the main) Tymon Widdell Inoussa

Players who stood out - Stemenic, Galbraith, Vip (when we actually got the ball to him)

Franco Burgess Ronald were disappointing

As for the subs '- Eom looked a threat. Fulton broke up the play and won some key challenges , Idah got himself into goal scoring areas, Cullen linked the play well.

Wrexham probably the worst side ive seen this season had no ambition or real threat so difficult to gauge .

The play acting and cheating and the 2 players very under par Franco and Ronald need to up their game. Poor in possession and Franco lucky not to be booked early on for a reckless touch line challenge.

We are playing more on the front foot, creating more shots albeit from distance, Shoredi up the back to some extent and pressing more with conviction.

Our crossing is appalling still which needs working on.

3 back to back home wins is huge hopefully we can get a home fortress for the rest of the season.

I was disappointed with the subs as I thought Widell and Inoussa were great.
I wanted Ronald to go off, but to be fair, he stayed on and did well.

Even at 1-1, I would have been happy with the performance and we are very clearly improving, and I would say very quickly too!

I would have been frustrated but satisfied that we were much -much - better than their multi million pound pile of turd. I didn’t think we were actually going to score so 1-1 would have been ok. What actually happened was fair reward, and one of those special moments.

I wouldn’t have subbed Ronald at half time, I’d have shot him.

In Ronald's defense he was very good in the second half, in the final 20 minutes in particular he finally remembered how to put balls into the box and had three successful crosses, got one assist and if Cullen had gotten that first time finish right would have had a second.

I’m shocked at how bad Wrexham were.
I watched Cardiff batter them the other week but they were even worse last night.
Thought Portsmouth and Oxford offered a lot more.

A few people have mentioned the crowd - the Liberty when full is a fearsome place for anyone to come. It was bouncing there last night, great to see.
It was awesome, full quota of visiting fans always helps. Giving visiting fans behind the goals when there's only 5-600 hundred of them is crazy , Leeds fans have both stands behind each goal. Visiting fans, like a few grounds , should be stuck in the corners .

Half hour queuing for a pint halftime.
They knew the attendance in advance and knew the halftime pre orders.
No stewards managing queues instead one big scrum.
More staff and serving points needed.
Otherwise brilliant night and result.

At risk of derailing this thread you're spot on. It never ceases to amaze me how it always seems to come as a shock to them that quite a lot of people will come down at half time wanting some sort of refreshment. Beggars belief.

This is something that needs addressing somehow. Get our fans behind both goals. Southampton Stoke Derby the latest to move fans into corners and give them a piss poor view.

Ronald played better second half however he lost possession in key areas and was so inconsistent again. You can't fault his work rate though, he covered a lot of ground allowing Galbraith more freedom by dropping in at RB to cover.
