Fair enough, happy to let it go. I can assure you though that you have misread me.

I don't want scenarios like we had when DrP was posting, place is certainly a better and friendly place for sure since those days

One thing I do agree with you about is his sacking last night hopefully puts to bed any interest we have in the fella any longer.

I'm still relatively new to this site - only been here about a year or so - but I do think there is a strong anti-Martin sentiment on these pages that you don't really get elsewhere, to the point of being quite rabid at times.

I get some of it - he's clearly a very flawed coach defensively, he is a bit "Brentish" sometimes, he is too stubborn to even be slightly pragmatic. I was glad to see the back of him by the end, it was going nowhere really - he wasn't happy with the club, the owners had gone cold on him.

That said, he always wanted to play an attractive style (albeit with too many flaws to be effective), he definitely ‘got’ what our club was about while he was here (Doube Doube says it all), he did an ok-ish job here with an average squad, then he went on to get a team promoted to the PL (and you can't do that if you're the total numpty some people make him out to be).

Like most things in life there is room for grey on this one.

Funny as heck how a couple of bonkers outliers here and on the periphery of Swans SM are still to this day clinging on to Martin’s piles of bullshittery nonsense.

The snake slithered away, failed to turn up in the US for a meeting with the owners who (foolishly) were prepared to give him another chance. Why on earth some are trying to spin the facts differently is just beyond bizarre and twisted. Agendas, and clicks innit.

The man left us up the creek, weeks before the new season and caused the whole Duff era fiasco. He's clearly acted in his own self interest from his MK Dons days and the fact he was willing to break contract says a lot.

I think you're getting him confused with Cooper there. Martin was effectively gone by the end of May. It was Cooper who started pre-season then decided to piss off, leaving us needing to find a new manager with only a couple of weeks to go. Just saying like.

End of June he left officially, which meant we started the season way behind where we should have been.

Though saying that, it's still not as bad as Cooper time wise and the fact we had this situation twice must have been chaos for the club.
