• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

If you like violent skill free thugs kicking anything but the ball.

Actually, come to think of it, I’ve forgotten what my point is.
The point was we were talking about the £300 I lent you last week 😉

The only midfielder we have of his kind in the squad. I think he’s very important to us. His weight of pass is excellent, we haven’t seen the best of him yet either

Hes been better than I expected but I dont think hes the player some people think he is, especially after his impressive start. He is a starter in our best team but outside of that I think we have to temper our expectations.

In a better balanced midfield I think he will do the job required. I'm not sure what that balance is and AS isn't either. I hope we find out soon. I like the look of this bloke though. Maybe Leon can give him some tips.

I don't think he's in our starting eleven, but he is a good squad member, none the less. For me, he is the new Fulton (of a few years back, not now). A bit of strength to bring on and protect the back four in the last twenty minutes, put it about a bit, break up attacks, etc.

You need someone with a bit of steel in the middle of pitch who is happy to tidy up and give the ball to the more creative players.

Stamenic is fantastic in my view, but hasn’t quite looked at it since his injury. I do wonder if he’s still feeling the effects of that. I’m shocked people are talking about him as if he’s just muscle in the middle. He’s technically excellent, his issue of late is he hasn’t been sensing pressure and affording himself too much time on the ball.

In his first couple of games, he played one or two defence splitting passes and has continued to play cross field balls with high accuracy. I was watching him the other day and I think he sometimes chooses to pass the ball when he could carry it up the pitch a bit more. If he takes the opportunity once or twice a game to run with the ball and get closer to the box, his passing could be very useful to us. He looks a lot more than just a bruiser who breaks up play.

I would like to see us play with Stamenic holding, and Yalcuoue and Galbraith playing a little further ahead of him. I think there is mileage in that, especially at home. Maybe in away games get Franco in there instead of one of the more advanced two, just to bolster it a bit more.

We have options it's just using them properly.

I honestly think that's Sheehan biggest challenge at the moment, he doesn't know his best team.

If he's been flying off to New Zealand, that flight (24hrs to 30 hrs plus stop over time) takes a huge toll on the body and mind.
Exceptionally tiring.
Think Fallon always took a few games after getting back- not saying he was good, but glad the Plymouth scouts thought highly of him
Maybe Marko is having problems adjusting to that and that the Championship is a fast paced league
