• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Steve Kaplan

Amazing isn't it. You wait ages for a shark, then a few arrive together. I'm sure they all have the best of intentions. Not.

Good to know he's still a cunt.

He must have a short memory. After all he worked on a board that had Don Keefe and Steve Penney on it - neither of whom were shareholders.

Neither was Trevor Birch.

Or do they not count

Get the fecker in court, as well as the rest of the dirty sellouts, ASAP.

The tweet from Dineen just goes to show how stupid and ignorant he is!

What's the saying again, do as I say not....!

Someone said to me this morning was the money mentioned by Silverstein, actually the buying of Kaplans shares?

Weren’t Keefe and Penney treated as though they didn’t count?

Article says he's still an owner.

All these comings and goings don't worry me one bit. We still have Conky McConckface on the board to look out for our interests like he always has.

Faked board meeting notes stated the men had voluntarily resigned - a condition for the takeover to go ahead - but Mr Jenkins later admitted the meeting had "likely" never actually happened

From my experience Kaplan was always the decision maker behind the two.

Levien was the guy put forward to talk to us but it became very evident that he never had the clout to make any decisions without input from Kaplan.

The appointment of Porter is an interesting one as he has always been around but he is like a total mute at times - I've sat in numerous meetings where he just plays with his phone as the grown ups talk :)

Given the Trust statement when the other appointments were made I'd guess they didn't know much about this?

Swansea's Supporters' Trust - which has a 21.1% stake in the club - is aware of the boardroom changes, although no reason for Kaplan's departure from the boardroom has been given.

The Trust seem as divorced (pointless?) from the board as ever. https://www.swanstrust.co.uk/2020/10/06/trust-statement-on-steve-kaplan/ Aware of the changes on Company's House (aren't we all), haven't really spoken to anyone, obviously weren't consulted before. Doesn't provide much confidence that can represent the fans or have any influence at all.
