Cameron called the referendum because we wanted to put the ERG & other nutters back in their box and he never imagined for one minute that the leave vote would win so as he didn't make a super majority part of the deal, he royally f*cked up.

Snap. 😁

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was Cameron that set us on our way to the s**t place we are currently in, with his Brexit ref? We shot down the pan after that.

Yes. The architect of austerity and idiot of Brexit returns. Sunak is desperately pulling levers and hoping that something dramatic happens. Evidently he thinks that none of the 330 or so Tory MPs are capable enough to be Foreign Secretary.

I’m not defending Cameron but, from what I remember, he was a remainer and thought a referendum would put Brexit to bed completely. He misjudged the dense British public who voted for Brexit. 🙄

So he thought that he could fart like his father could, but when he tried he shit himself.

Good old fashioned saying that.

Oh aye. He’s almost single handedly responsible for the cesspit that is the U.K. now.

Scraped the bottom of the barrel and there was nothing there.

Now is he trying to shift the party back towards the centre with this move, or does he think it's damage limitation by appointing him? He knows he's still going to lose but maybe by not such a huge margin?

That’s being a bit kind. He thought a referendum would appease the right of his party without ever giving any thought to the possibility that they may well win and what would happen if they did. Then he buggered off when he realised how badly he’d fucked up. Which led directly to May, who led directly to Johnson who led directly to Truss and then to Sunak. It’s literally all on Cameron. To see him swanning back and being presented as some kind of safe pair of hands elder statesman and to see so many falling for it is astounding. Even before Brexit him and Osborne did long term damage to the fabric of the U.K. The rosy cheeked, pig fucking prick.

You're on fire Clasey.

If there was a god Dacre, Murdoch et al would be burning in hell.

They're only human guys, and the whole country is on them, tough gig, it doesn't matter how competent or incompetent they supposedly are in your eyes..

Drakeford is a bit like Boris for me, poor old c*ck, except Boris is a sociopath, and Drakeford is a school headmaster with a son who is troubled.. it's not easy being a sociopath and having a son who is troubled, which adds extra stress to the responsible jobs they have, being in the limelight

Are you suggesting that they were forced in to standing multiple times to become MP's? It really does matter because those people are responsible for the sh!tshow policies that we have to endure/live with. Very few of those elected are not self serving.
