All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Thank you though for all the memories

Done well and is a good option for me. Worked on a budget in the past but experienced enough

As long as he doesn't pretend to be the underdog and park the bus he's worth a look. Mind you, we are probably underdogs now, or at least we've lost the financial advance the parachute payments gave us over the last 3 years. I'm worried about that, but then I always worry about us.

Think Appleton will be an uninspiring appointment, has done poorly everywhere apart from a spell with oxford and now lincoln, but that lincoln team was created by Cowley and Appletons done worse with them than he did
Im not against giving someone a chance, but id rather take a risk at a young hungry manager who has refreshing ideas than someone whos been average their entire managerial career
Jack Collison has been managing over in America, 32, welsh and retired early cause of injury, probably too early for now but you can see his desire

In what world has he done worse than Cowley? Hes only managed them for a year and a half in L1. Simply not comparable. And no his team was not created by Cowley. It's been rebuilt.
He was brought in to change their style of play from hoof to passing and bring down the average age of the squad. Which he has done and got them into the L1 play-off final in his first full season. That's quite an achievement for Lincoln. Especially in that context.
That's adding to a brilliant job he did at Oxford.
His early career was a disaster but more due to bad choices. The Pompey job was a write off due to their financial issues. Blackpool and Blackburn were short spells with poor owners.
If we want a manager committed to passing attacking football, who can operate on a budget and is very good on the loan market we won't do much better.

Lincolns average possesion was 51% and lost as many as they won at home, mainly getting their points away from home
They also faced more shots than they took themselves
So i fail to see where the passing attacking football is?
