Jayne Ludlow. Knows her stuff.

She was co-commentator on the Swans FA Cup game they put on the beeb at Chrimbo and she was babbling like a speedfreak. She may know her stuff but she is a dreadful communicator.

Maybe not then 🤣

He's often on Quest analysing games and he seems to know what he's talking about, and if it's correct that he prefers passing football, then that's a plus for all of us.

But there are a lot of Black ex-players and coaches who have got their badges but never been managers who might be worth investigating. I don't know any names, and this isn't about being politically correct, but that's where talent is being overlooked and could be worth a gamble.

So long as the club is solvent I'm not particularly fussed if we don't go up this season so long as we get a manager who rebuilds our playing style so we have a solid base to go up within the next 3 years.

Jayne Ludlow. Knows her stuff.

Wtf she gonna do...iron the kit ?

See people say Rodgers, but at the time we were still up and coming, and Rodgers did a great job at Watford and Chelsea before failing at Reading, he thought at the time that we wouldnt even consider him
But Appleton has failed everywhere on our level or above, we're not a little club punching above our weight having never been in the prem before
Yeah we're not a sleeping giant and def not the biggest club in the championship, but i fail to believe our stock is that low that we cant attract an exciting young foreign manager or someone like Howe, Appleton feels like we're looking back at our past links

I have seen a lot of lincoln over the last few years and Appleton has transformed them since the cowleys left. The style of football is polar opposite to what he inherited and would please the majority here. One of the last players from the cowley era just left so no credit can be given to them. Appleton has operated with a 40% cut in first team finances so has done really well there. Has also done very well with an extremely young and low in numbers squad. He would tick many boxes here, but not sure if his name and previous managerial experience would have an immediate inspiring impact.

See i dont watch or know much of Lincoln, just looked at the stats and its all quite average
They, like ourselves, had 0 shots on target in their play off final
I just dont know why we would go for Appleton when Howe is available for free who has higher stock, or another young manager abroad that did great things at smaller clubs like with Potter

Generally they have played a faster passing game that is more pleasing on the eye than what we have played under Cooper. His side this year was very young and thin on numbers. Big year for him this due to potential extra funding
I would personally keep an eye on him for a season or so time. However the faith he seems to put into youngsters and loanees would seem to fit the route we are taking at the moment

I’m not saying he’d be my choice, but neither would Rodgers have been. All I can say is I watched that play off final and they played well and did create good chances. But it’s all a division below and it’s always dangerous to think it transfers across. I’d rather give him a spin than another season of Hoofer.

He's untested at this level, transformed lincoln from a non league style hoof team under cowley to an attractive side to watch. He'd be a gamble, but given time would bring back the "swansea" way. Apparently he turned wba down, where I think he used to play, so don't know if he'd want to come here anyway.

I think for sure another year or so we could have a look, but still feel like hes a step down from Cooper, who hoofball aside was very successful with England U17s and 2 successful seasons with us
