• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Are you going to say what you think the Swansea Way is - that we’re going to evolve from?
I genuinely think that it’s an interesting discussion if we can frame it properly.
Sorry to get back on topic lads lol

The problem is that we've two or three managers and a few players who seem to think "the Swansea Way" is just passing around the back a lot and slow build up.

What I remember it to being is fast paced triangle passing with lots of movement from everyone in the team. What did Brendon used to say? "you can pass faster than you can dribble". This is so true when you have players who can actually... pass and move.

Anyway. For me, The Swansea Way is dead and has been dead since Laudrup left. Like someone else said. We need to move with the times. Just look at Liverpool, Brentford, Aston Villa etc. Its all about fitness, pace and range of passing. Its entertaining.

We dont have any special players anymore, we lost our last one to Leeds, so we cant keep expecting the front 4/5 to be producing miracles. The only way now is to be a collective and all be on the same page. Pass and move with pace and goals will come.

I hope.

Pass, move, making runs, overlaps, triangles, counter attacking, shoot when opportunity is there, teamwork.

What did David Moyes say before when West Ham beat Brighton with only 30% of the ball? He said they can take the ball home I’ll take the 3 points.

I'd just like to see us scoring more than the opposition, that would be a good start, and if possible make it a bit entertaining.
It's not a difficult game really though is it. Its 22 lads (or ladies) knocking a ball around. It's been complicated for the sake of it, all this stats, xG, bollocks is nonsense and driving most sane fans nuts. Oh! and another thing, and I've been saying it for years, money and greed has fvcked up our beautiful game.
Sorry if that doesnt answer the OP, just getting it of my chest....as you were.😁👍

The fact that so many people say things like "to me, The Swansea Way means..." just shows it's a completely meaningless phrase, which can be applied to various definitions to suit (see also "High Performance")

Been dead for a decade, if it even ever existed. A complete distraction for people who don’t know what they’re talking about imo.

Football as others have said evolves over time. Look at Man City as a great example of how eventually Peps system has been broken down even he needs to reinvent himself so a club such as ours needs to get their finger out and make those changes

Fergie did it four or five times over the course of his Man Utd reign.

Great thread.

We are evolving, along the right lines, again.

Today was a massive step change in the right direction.

Ridding us of the Martin-Williams toxicity is the proper catalyst.

Our richly assembled talented squad can now kick on….
