That Tesco aren’t calling stuff ‘Christmas Trees’.

They have a range all marked Christmas Trees, and then within that, a variety of ‘Evergreen’, ‘Fir’, ‘Silver’, ‘decorated’ etc etc etc. there are dozens of them just inside the entrance of our Tesco, all with Christmas written all over them.
Rightio.👍

That “woke Tesco have renamed Christmas trees”. It’s not hard to find this stuff out.
They’ve ‘renamed Mince Pies’ as well.

Apparently they used to be called ‘Christmas Pies’. Quite where they were ever called that outside the fevered imaginations of the Mail and similar who knows. I’m in my late 50s and they’ve always been called Mince Pies everywhere I’ve ever been…

It’s like clockwork. We move from ‘x isn’t wearing a poppy’ straight into ‘they’ve taken Christmas away’. We’ll soon get moans about it being Sadiq Khan’s fault that the Trafalgar Square Christmas Tree, gifted every year by the people of Norway and traditionally decorated in Norwegian style isn’t nice enough because he’s a Muslim taking the piss.

They've always named Christmas trees.. why is Darran trying to get a reaction out of jack123 i don't know.. because he's the only one that goes against the grain on Planet Utopia.. it's like that Wesley Snipes film Demolition Man

We’ve tended to do it the other way - leave the lights etc up for all of January for exactly the same reason. Makes it all a bit brighter. January is a long month!

Christmas is always special when there are young kids. The ‘kids’ in our family are late teens now so it’s different although my nephew still always sets a big quiz on Christmas evening for all of us which is great fun.
Im 65 in Jan and still love Christmas my boys are 32 and 29, but its still an occasion.
