• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Confirmed by Maritimo on Instagram. Matos is joining us, thankfully we look to have the manager search sorted.

Their post doesn’t mention whether or not he will take their game on the weekend but I’d assume he’ll be in our dugout for the Derby game on Wednesday.

He’ll be on his own on Wednesday. 😉

Well I have been a STH since 1976 and I have a different view.
Everyone is allowed their opinion no matter how old they are or how long they have been a STH.
100%. Totally agree that we are all allowed an opinion which is why I gave mine 👍

Poor f*cker. Hope he knows what he's getting himself into.
I think he's either going to be chewed up and spat out in 3-6 months or go on to be a legend. Let's hope it's the latter.

Vitor Matos, you are now a jack bastard. Welcome aboard, mush.

Yep, definitely a hero or zero vibe about this one, which I’m not quite sure we needed to risk.

We’re leaving the casino and put our last tenner on red 10. Could be a master stroke, could be walking home.

Yep, a definite roll of the dice. I still think Klopp himself couldn’t make Ronald, Cullen and Eom a lethal attack, but we’ll see.

I hope people don’t do anything stupid and start expecting promotion. I’ll be happy to just see some progress. I think there’s still a lot of repair work to do after Kaplan and Levien’s disastrous rein before we’ll be ready to mount a promotion push.

Maybe Klopp could do it with Inoussa, Benson and Idah.

Definitely a left field appointment, I'd love to know what led us to go for him.
No info about his backroom staff yet by the looks of it.

Seems the 1m euros was a bit wide of the mark. Being said it's only 300,0000 euros to start. The rest dependent on promotion etc. Not 100% sure that's true, but sounds like a possible potential outcome. Maybe we can all calm down now and get behind the guy, to help give him his best chance? 🙂

He has the grooming style of Russell Martin and about the same record as Alan Sheehan, who was managing in a more difficult league. I'm genuinely puzzled by this.
Its clever strategy the Russy lovers will think he is back and those that thought Sheehan was doing ok wont notice either

I don't think anybody is realistically is expecting a promotion push. We need to steady the ship once again
