With regard to points 1 & 2, France has already intimated that we can set up a UK application processing centre in France but to the Brexit Tories that amounts to cooperation with an EU country. Once processed, anyone meeting the UK asylum criteria can then be sent to the UK via a safe route and anyone failing the criteria stays where they are.

Sounds sensible to me. Who would disagree with that?

Me. I would, simply because on a cursory glance, it doesn't look feasible.

As soon as everyone realises that this government has no interest in stopping boats crossing the channel with asylum seekers on board the more sense it will make to them. It’s so transparent it’s ridiculous. Yet it works. People still fall for it.

But Matthew Goodwin says it's fault of the new elite. All very confusing because the group of people the (alleged) professor refers to have no discernible control over policy or lawmaking ...

To answer point 3, the Government are purposely strangling the system to make it slow. That's what they want.

Anyway, you will still have people here in our area who will think you are talking rubbish and the Government are doing their best. A lot of them will be semi educated as well would you believe
