The Americans

Why do you say Silverstein isn't going to be as involved going forward?

He's recently acquired more of a stake?

He’s done what he was brought in to do.

Just a hunch he won’t be involved as much going forward.

Nah, he's a control freak. Now he is a shareholder he'll be authorising everything and continuing to run our transfers.

Levein is the control freak. Complete parasite.

The frustrating aspect for me is there seems to be no clear pathway moving forward.
The Americans don't want to communicate with the supporters, Winter might as well just disappear into the ether for all the good he does too.
We are sinking fast and nobody with any influence wants to know.

The Trust don't want to follow the members wishes (as voted), have sold the fans down the river and become the Yeehaas mouthpiece.
No bottle from them. Just want the day out in the directors box.
Sold down Schittcreek by the previous shareholders, yet some want them back. F***ing unbelievable Jeff!

Yeehaas won't sell and just cut their losses by the look of it.
I'm hoping they're just hanging on to the end of the season to get rid of Martin. Although there are some fans who are still believing he has a system.
Really?
Can someone who does please explain this magical system to the rest of us.
I gave up with Martin, after defending him to a year ago February when he still used the no preseason rubbish excuse.

I still couldn't bring myself to boo the team or Patterson when he came on.
I don't believe this squad of players is as bad as some make out.
I also think the rest are fed up of being slung under the steam roller on press interviews, so have given up playing for Martin
Martin won't start the best players (is this the system?)
I stayed to the bitter end on Saturday- thousands didn't.
Their choice, although I did sing "cheerio" with the Boro fans
Something has to change, otherwise we'll end up with 6 or 7,000 fans in the stadium, just like the old days

Oh yeah, he's one as well, but Jakey put up the cash to keep him going.

What do people realistically expect to happen if / when we are sold? Are you expecting some Saudi Prince to come in and make all your boyhood dreams come true? Because that really isn't going to happen. The chances are, the next lot will be worse, get us into massive debt and proper fuck us up. And I guarantee you it will be the same people who wanted the Americans gone, making the most noise about the next lot. There was no billionaire prince sniffing about when we were in the Premier League.

This lot are running us as sustainable as they can, football is eating itself.

If he'd been paid a one off payment to broker the deal with the trust, I might agree, but for me he's been too visible to take a backwards step now, and as mentioned he now owns a larger percentage after the latest conversion.

The time to walk away/step back was before buying a bunch of shares in a company that stands to lose millions every year. He was sitting prettier with just an interest-paying debt and a seat on the board.

Yes, agreed, I can only see his involvement growing, not diminishing.
