John was a fire officer with WWFS and fairly high up and was involved with RBL as an ex Marine, i played rugby with him for a short period. An acquired taste i would say. Has lived in Margam/Taibach all his life.

I know quite a few other Bamseys from PT almost all of the others are good people.

I know Josh who lives around the corner from me, he was Steve Kinnock’s agent previously, he and Wendy Blethyn (independent) are the only candidates with direct links to Baglan.

Peter Richards the previous Labour councillor (who left the independents many years ago) died suddenly but was a good councillor who worked hard, there are two other labour councillors for the Ward i have never seen or heard from them. Josh wont have to work too hard to make a name for himself as a Labour Councilllor.

John is definitely a Margam boy as was his father. He was Capt of Taibach RFC late 80s and then came to play at the Aberavon Quin’s for maybe a year or so.
