Plus Cyril Pearce who still holds the record for us, scoring 35 league goals (40) in the 1931-32 season in Div 2 (Champ) - and in total scored 43 goals in 55 appearances.

His overall career total wasn't shabby either - 117 league goals in 150 matches.

The guys who wrote this is just a generational thing. As mentioned Latch,Curt, Ivor big Dai G. I'd also add Herbie(ooh ooh) Wiliiams to that who they've probably never heard of. Well thats my early generation anyway.

Latchbwas especially great abd didnt he get his highest goal tally in the season we were relegated from the old First Division?
