• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Forgot about him, reading this report, he is at it again, Can't believe the sentence though, 3 and a half years, the first time, then get's 6 months for doing it again..

IMO, he needs help, chucking someone inside for that amount of time, just for standing in the road, that's like 4 years prison since 2021, no doubt he will do the same again on release.

What an absolute joke, ' what you in for?', " I got a 3 and a half year stretch for standing in the road, and staying silent"

It's hard to read the report on WOL, due to the amount of ads, but I think the 3.5 years was given in 2021, and since his release he has done it again, and now received 6 months.

I must admit, I am slightly intrigued by his story, what's it all about? To get that amount of prison time, in just a few years, for what for me is a slightly trivial offence, I mean JSO hold up the whole of London on a regular basis, I have not seen such harsh sentences handed out?, anyway hopefully he can get some help this time in nick, because the way it's going, I can see on his release, he will get another stretch, which is a crying shame for such a silly offence.

Edit: Just found the WOL article going back to the three and a half year stretch, seems like his main target for standing in the road, is right outside Swansea police station.

2nd Edit: I find this shocking, from the initial physiatrist report published on WOL taken from the court case.

:The case came back to court his week for a report from the psychiatrist. The doctor concluded that though Hampson's muteism is "selective and deliberate" there may be "social stresses" and "financial stresses" that contribute to his decision not to talk. But the doctor said he was not able to make a diagnosis of any psychiatric or other condition which would mean a hospital order could be suggested as a way of dealing with the defendant.

Why are they focusing so much on the chap, just doesn't want to talk to them? Ferk me, I really did ferk up in school, not to put me in a position to deal with such obvious miscarriages of justice.

Edit: You know what, I could most probably go and buy a baseball bat tomorrow, and just start hitting random strangers with it, and I doubt I would get a three and a half year sentence. Seems they have put him in the custodial sentencing bracket of Class A drug dealers, I can't get my head around this, it's nuts.

He shouldn’t be in prison but he should be locked up for his own good. That’s the problem now everyone is sent to prison but he’s clearly not all there

Imagine sharing a cell with him. Be like being in solitary confinement.

I think when he's inside, he talks, well that's what the prison service told the court. I don't understand, why they are making such a big deal out of his refusal to speak, is it a crime not to engage with someone? Annoying, most certainly, but a crime? I'm sure they have added time to his sentence, just because he refuses to interact with them.

Yep, and as you said before, the stop oil guys get a wrap on the wrists. The guy needs help, whereas those tools need a fckn shoeing.

Yep, I don't know why, got a funny feeling what he is doing is some sort of protest against the police. It may have been a WOL, Twitter, Swans Board, I don't know, but something in the back of my mind is saying, what he is doing, is just a protest against the police? Ferk knows, running around in my mind, I'm sure it was somebody who knew him, said what it was about, back in 2021.
