• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Mixed feelings about this one.

On one hand it should rule out all the ridiculous decisions we never seem to get and on the other hand we've seen how incompetent the officials are in the Premier league still are, even with the tech.

Think I'd rather carry on as we are.

I was for technology coming in, but the way it’s been implemented it’s a no from me.

Absolutely awful experience in the ground and that should be the number one concern (obviously it isn’t and hasn’t been for years though!)

I was the same as well, honestly thought it was going to improve things.

Right now, I can't stand it. The game has been sterilised.

Given how bad refs have been then I would say yes but at the same time don't fancy the waffle that goes with it.

It’s interesting that one of the reasons stated in that article is the owners concern of the impact on fans. Maybe they all deserve some credit for once!!

I’ve heard a few ex-players calling for a challenge system like this, but it’d definitely be abused and manipulated for tactical reasons, especially in the second half - the example in the article would be just the tip of the iceberg IMO.

It is pleasing to hear the owners have taken in to consideration the impact it will have on supporters in side the stadium.

I think I'd prefer the EFL concentrated o improving the standards of the officials which let's be honest are well below the minimum standard required.

On the subject of the standard of refereeing, how about penalty point scheme where every match they drop a clanger they get hit with x amount of penalty points and certain thresholds come with consequences.

The ultimate consequence of being dropped from being a match day official, completely.

Those awarding the penalty points could be a mix of ex players, managers and officials.

I was in favour of a challenge system being introduced.
Or at least letting the referee have the option to call up replays on the big screen in the case of contentious events so he can get a second look before making a decision

Hate VAR. Would be in favour of managers getting 1 or 2 challenges each half
