Not that it matters, but I notice the edit button has gone. Well that's a bloody joke, why would you time limit posts?

I switched it off on this thread in particular
And the fact that you noticed told me I was right to do so. I am a little tired of getting up on a Sunday morning and finding endless threads replaced by a full stop so I thought on this thread in particular I would turn off that option
You will notice it is available on every other thread so there is no time limit
And no it's not a "bloody joke" and as your music video proved you managed to edit that 3 times (I dread to think what versions 1 and 2 said) because the removal doesn't apply to posts made after I removed it.
For the record I would love to actually be able to take away the edit facility on all your posts because it is there to correct errors not to take away after the blue touch paper has been lit. I think you abuse that facility rather than embrace it but I cant do it so I resorted to second best option

Fair points, but will say I don't see self censorship as a bad thing.
Ideally it would be good, if there was a button to delete every post in just one click.
I have seen on some social media websites they have apps for doing such things, twitter has, nothing untoward about it.
The people that use that function on twitter have not posted anything bad, I guess it's just a privacy thing.

Don’t talk so much s**t and you won’t need one.

It's not about talking s**t!
My opinion could change in a few weeks or months, as I just pointed out you can get some software for twitter that deletes your tweets, people use that who have said nothing bad!
What is relevant now, may not be relevant in 3 months, too be honest if there was a function on this message board to delete everything after a month or so, I would not delete anything, on a daily basis.

The point of a forum like this is not to go back and change things based on hindsight surely?
I mean I could go back through every match thread on that basis and change a post to make myself look like a footballing visionary.
Absolutely would never advocate anything that allows mass deleting of posts by anyone other than an admin/moderator and even then it only happens if someone has been a complete tool (we had a Cardiff fan trying that earlier in the week)
The only reason you edit posts is because you get called out for your opinion within a few hours of posting, nobody can change their mind that quickly and then you make the board look ridiculous the next morning with endless posts with just a full stop.
