You think I’ve commented on her guilt. I haven’t. Only on her nationality. When she’s been on trial here if she’s locked up for ever and never again sees any sort of freedom I won’t give it a moments thought.

It’s a separate issue.

Ok, let her stand trial in the UK, find her guilty, then deport her, sounds good to me

No don’t leave the slag where she is to rot.

You deport people back to their home country.

She's British.

She's British.

She gave up her British citizenship when she joined ISIS, 15 or 55 makes no difference to me 👍

Mmmmm let me think 🤔 SYRIA

She's not Syrian, you can't just say here you go you deal with her

If she's not British why would you make her stand trial here in the first place?

Listen up mate, she's had her British citizenship revoked because she decided to join up with a terrorist organisation, I was just playing devils advocate by suggesting she stood trial here, personally I wouldn't let her within a thousand miles of our shores, is that clear enough for you 👍

We didn’t revoke the citizenship of other British people that have fought against us. We dealt with them through the legal system.

We are effectively saying that people of her background aren’t as ‘British’ as I am, for example. As I couldn’t have my British citizenship revoked whatever I did.
And then we’re surprised that people who are regarded in such a way don’t feel as ‘British’ as anyone else?

It’s absolute nonsense. And a recruitment dream for people from such terrorist groups. “See, they‘ll never really believe you’re British unless it suits them...”

That’s become a much easier argument as a result of this.

Whatever...

She ain't getting back in though 😂

Probably worth pointing out that the court didn’t rule on the legality or otherwise of the government’s decision to strip her of British citizenship. It ruled that she can’t come back here to appeal that ruling. I fail to see how stripping her of citizenship can be either legal or morally right seeing as she’s not a citizen of any other country.

Indeed. What it’s effectively done though is make her appeal almost impossible given she’s in a tent with no access to lawyers.

I have no issue with her having the book thrown at her if she is found guilty under the British legal system. I do have a problem in them removing access to that system because her parents originally came from a different country. It’s creating different categories of citizen, ‘proper’ British and ‘British until it doesn’t suit us’.
