• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Just watched the three episodes of The Dark Side of Football.
The first was shown on BBC One tonight, however all three are available on BBC iPlayer.
They catalogue the mass abuse of young footballers over the years and the clubs and the FA's failure to deal with it.
Such a sad sobering series and quite shocking.
Hopefully we will never see such failure to protect children again

The amount of boys that were subject to this vile abuse, and the effect it has had on their lives, is absolutely sickening.

Indeed. The attitude at the time, certainly by at least one club, seemed to be as long as he is producing the players for the club then we'll ignore what else is said to be happening

All I can say is that there are considerable safeguards in place today and they get stricter and stricter every year.

That is good news

Watched the second episode last night, a very difficult watch...horrendous.

Just finished watching part 3. The whole series was harrowing and heartbreaking.

The clubs had a duty of care to all these children, they all failed abysmally!!

Paedophiles hiding in plain sight.

Cant bring myself to watch it as it would infuriate me.
