• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Anyway I got former workmates saying things like the Prodigy absolutely smashed it on Sunday at Glastonbury, so curoristy got the better of me and I tried listening to them on YouTube, Breathe was one track no idea what else I listened to, but fuk my eyes dear god anyone who sit there and listens to that load of dross is a better person than me, if that's music and entertainment I must be living on another planet.
You could have just typed “I’m getting old” and saved the rest 🤣🤣

Do we want prominent people to speak up about matters like this? Absolutely.

Do we want them to do it in a way which makes some of the less educated take things literally? No we don’t.

There is more than one way to make a valid point.
Music and especially Glastonbury has been political and about making points. Long may that continue. Just because the ‘less educated’ struggle with that, it’s on them. Fuck em.

Never seen so many right wing gammons be up in arms about a music festival before, and that was before Kneecap and the other chap done their thing.

I giggle every year at the thought of thousands of vegans having fun on a dairy farm. 🤣

I agree with your first two sentences. However my point was a different one as I was referring to how the political statement is made and not the underlying message itself.

My reference to the less educated is not about with the right disagreeing with the left, instead I am talking about increasing the possibility of folk taking matters into their own hands and going out to kill or maim MP’s and political figures.

Do you have to show your WOKE certification before you can buy a Glastonbury ticket?
Or is the Twitter far right bullshiting as per normal?

They post deliberate nonsense that gullible idiots like Prosser lap up because it plays to their prejudices and saves them having to do any thinking for themselves.

The stuff left behind after Glastonbury doesn't come as a surprise and isn't just left to damage the environment despite what the gammon who posted that vid on X would like you to believe because he thinks they are all 'lefties'. Well before the event is due to take place, a team of people has already been assembled ready to move in as soon as it's over and a friend of mine, Rob, is always among them and I know of several others. Most are self-employed and are glad to take a few days out of their usual routine as they get decent money for it. For example, Rob is a fence erector by trade and has done a bit of work in my garden and in my sister's. There is always a lot of stuff that can be sold and the money goes to charities or the stuff is just given to charities and everything else is recycled as far as is possible and they leave the area as near to spotless as they can. Obviously, the cost of the clean up is covered by the tickets.

If you are one of the later leavers from there, you can literally have your pick of brand spanking new tents and other associated camping equipment that punters leave behind.

And what’s left at the complete closure are donated to charities, for example a lot of tents are given to the homeless. What the organisers should do now to really boil the piss of the gammons is to donate it all to migrants. Would love that.

But what if all these migrants move to Briton Ferry! 😱
