• We have today (22nd April) confirmed the closure of JackArmy.net on 31st May. Our reasons are varied but after a twenty-five year stint at the heart of the online Swansea City community, the time is right for us to bow out.

You were one of the first actually.
Lincoln has a lot to answer for..

Then again I have met a few from here, some not posting anymore which is a shame.

Times are changing but at least we have hope that the new site will start with a good basis of current posters

Thanks for everything Phil.

Time to enjoy your next chapter as an ‘ordinary’ fan.

It was inconceivable when this site started what would have happened in the next 25 years. And it is probably inconceivable what the next twenty five will hold.

Some of it was truly wonderful. Some of it I will always regard as a huge opportunity missed. We could have genuinely become something very special. But it wasn’t to be. So now we’ll have to cross fingers that we can become special in some other way.

Let’s see.

Once a jack…

Thanks for all your efforts over the years Phil.
I still think you were bang out of order for invading the Ukraine but you certainly know how to run a football website.

YJB.

Many Thanks Phil for taking the plunge into starting a fans forum all those years ago. It has been an extremely useful place for gossip, debate, etc for all the Jacks that have used it and all the other fans from teams afar that came on too. It helped us to come together from the lows and highs of the 2003 relegation struggle, to leaving the Vetch Field for the White Rock Stadium in 2005, to a cup final win in 2006 and the heartbreaking play-off loss to Barnsley, to further success and ultimately the promised land of the Prem, and the subsequent relegation back to the Championship and the years since. Enjoy being able to not have to worry about running your site. Make sure you join the new forum and it will be nice to see you having a chance to offer your opinions on the Super Swans.

I echo everything on this thread. Thanks Phil for your commitment to this forum and know how busy your professional life is.

Many thanks Phil for providing me with a swans shaped lifeline as someone who's lived abroad for many years it's been invaluable, muchissimas gracias

The end of an era, my last post here. I must say I don't understand enough on why the mantle of this site could not have been handed over for someone else to run but I respect the decision.

This site will be missed, long live the new site.

Sure it will feel weird for you for quite some time but enjoy getting your free time back although if your dear lady is like mine you wont be idle.
Cheers, thanks and well done!

Thank you Phil, fully appreciate all that you have done.
It's been an incredible journey that has tied in with an unbelievable ride that the club has gone through, not many other clubs and fans will have been through a journey like we have experienced and we have lived it through this site.

Its been a pleasure to be part of things here, however good or bad it was 🙈😉😂.
I will look back and think of many posters fondly, however much we got on or didn't......we all have 2 loves in common, Swansea City and this forum.
