The Liverpool incident.

There were initial reports of him being charged for driving under the influence of drugs yet oddly this wasn't listed on the last charge sheet.

He's clearly made some poor choices. That being said, having hundreds of scousers pressing their faces against his car windows is going to provoke extreme panic. It's just such a shame the pillock got himself in that jam in the first place.
There’s was speculation on line that he’d been arrested for drug drive, but there’s a huge backlog /delay in those results coming back from forensic labs. If they’ve sent samples away the police will get the results in due course. He’s not in Court for a few months now so there’s plenty of time to see how things pan out.

Agree I’ve always thought what might have been if his car wasn’t kicked etc.
This is in no way excusing his actions but stress and panic affects people differently.
Agreed.. God knows what anybody would do in that situation.

It looks like total panic mode, which I think could happen to anyone.

It's sickening, why wasnt he charged with terrorism, oh let me see that's it he's white plus ex armed forces cant mention that to close to the truth, have you seen who he follows on Twitter.........The press make him out to be some sort of wholesome family man

Who does he follow on Twitter?

I see. How does driving into a load of white Scoucers make him a terrorist like Paul said above then?
Because he planned it in so much detail that he was waiting at the right place and at the precise time to follow the ambulance.

Just to add.

Things can be doctored but there are clips of him driving slowly and sounding the horn at the start
Not something you’d think a terrorist would do.

I’ll admit I haven’t read much about it but is the car driver a Scoucer because I’m genuinely missing something on the terrorism bit if a white Scoucer tried to harm white Scoucers.

The meaning has changed over the years

Originally back in the day it was anyone who used illegal means against the public for political gains.

Used for other means now

What if a brown scouser had driven into a load of white scousers?
I have no idea what the brown Scoucer would have been charged with had he driven into load of white Scoucers sorry.
Should this white prick that drove into a load of white Scoucers have been charged with terrorism like Paul has suggested above then?

I don’t know if he should or shouldn’t have I don’t know enough about the incident since he appeared in court because I’ve had more important things to do I’m just asking what details Paul has seen that suggest he got away with a terrorism charge because he’s white.

Depends on what his motive was. I’m sure the police are considering it but given the charges so far (there’ll be more) it doesn’t look like a terrorist act to me.

What is odd is the number of people looking to find reasons for his actions. “PTSD” “perhaps he panicked” “the scousers attacked his car first” “he found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time”. One or more of these mitigations may end up being true. They may not. But regardless, I’m absolutely certain we wouldn’t be seeing so much enthusiasm for this proposed mitigation if he looked less like a Paul Doyle and more like a (for example) Sadiq Khan.
