The next month's fixtures

It genuinely wouldn't be a surprise if we went into March on the same points as we are on now.

This defeatism about the next month's games is rubbing me up the wrong way.

Since when did Hull City become a footballing monster we're too pussy to face? Blackburn? Sunderland are a world away from teams like Leicester. Ipswich are a jumped up League 1 team that carried momentum over into this season but are hitting the wall a bit right now. Leeds are Leeds...probably the toughest of the lot, but at home with the crowd behind us and Ronald/Placheta getting in behind we'll be a different proposition than we were up there.

I know we're in a rough patch, but there were clear signs of hope in the game yesterday with the new signings. The next month we're playing....other Championship sides....not Real Madrid or Man City. Stop with reveling in defeatism in the face of games against our peers.

And yes, I fully expect to see this bumped when we get stuffed by Hull(y)
There's a minority (in more than one way) that will always bitch and moan, and let's hope for them it's just a knee jerk orf online venting thing.

As a fanbase, just like our team, we're only as good as our weakest (asbo corner) link.

Proper fans will always see the good, the possibilities, the ambition. And for me there's more than plenty to be cheerful about right now.

Yea things are going swimmingly.

- we've just lost to the team who's one of the worst in the league away from home.
- 5 points off relegation to league 1.
- 4 really tough games next.
- a team that can't defend (and a manager who has no record of being able to organise it).
- the transfer window has just shut but the major squad deficiencies remain.
- multiple players out of contract in the summer / loans ending.
- no realistic saleable players.
- a recruitment team who are at best inconsistent and have already made plenty of baffling, expensive mistakes.
- a chairman with zero experience at championship level who likes to regurgitate corporate garbled spiel (and lies).
- a manager with zero experience at this level.
- crowds decreasing.
- valuable academy staff leaving (to local rivals).
- a marginalised supports trust who have lost the goodwill from the fans.
- a group of distant, minor silent owners who regularly pop up embarrassing the club on social media and bad mouth the club or argue with fans.
- a group of distant majority owners who have had to put money in to offset losses incurred on their watch who are as far away as they have ever been from recouping their money.
- an unlucky knack of serious injuries.

Apart from that, everything's great.

Fck my eyes. You need to read that back.
Thus forum is full of longstanding fans who've lived through just bout everything down there. And have the club at heart. And if they wanna call it for what it currently is, I suggest you shut the fck up.

My bet is we’ll beat Ipswich, Sunderland, Hull and Blackburn. I have no idea why I think that. Punch drunk probably, but it’s the feeling I have.

I know, Wood, Fulton, Grimes, Yates starting every game will soon cure me.

We have all the latent abilities to do just that, and more besides over the course of the remaining season.

Plenty of ' green shoots' that you're now famous for, for defo.

And Luke seems to have the bit between his teeth to be the man that cures us (and himself, for obvs reasons) once and for all from Martinwang.

So give us your best shot at calling it for what you believe it currently is :
- what's our next best step ?

Anyone watching Plymouth v Leeds? The home side really are a limited outfit, we should never have lost to them.
Leeds look highly impressive going forward, though. We really need to take the game to them, as hard as it will be. If we sit back and invite them on, they'll tear us a new one.

Have that, Leeds!

EDIT: Plymouth's equaliser turned out to be a flash in the pan. Leeds crushed them. It's going to be very interesting to see how Williams plans to counter them next week.

Won't happen, they'll batter us

They will tear us a new one and we will bend over for it.
