14 corners, and nearly everyone was P1ss poor!

Ironically for once I thought our delivery from corners was slightly better. We had absolutely nobody in the areas to attack them though...

I thought the first couple were good, but then carried on with no variety, making it very easy to defend.

Thats probably a fair comment

I'm really disappointed. I usually am after a defeat but it's not the defeat today, it's the realisation that I don't really care anywhere near as much as I have for the last 60 years. Win, lose or draw, I can't get any enthusiasm going for these behind closed doors games any more.

I share yer pain buddy. I've said it before, may as well be supporting a team from another country.

I upvoted your comment before and nothing has changed so same again.

It'll change when we get back into the stadium but it will come at a cost in the number of fans who carry on.

Dont understand how Ayew manages to get praised to the hilt and never subbed. His contribution today was not acceptable chasing lost causes taking himself out of the game etc. One paced and today looked for easy options dropping to floor not tracking back from the get go. We shouldnt have lost that today and will need a result next match.

We did suffer today from losing Joe in my opinion, central defence today looked hesitant at times but we had to take the money i guess with his injury record.

I dont think I have watched a game intently in all the time its played like this. I either find myself picking up my phone and scrolling through some things or just slowly nodding off to sleep.

That said I have found my enthusiasm slowly wane over the past few years anyway :(

I agree - Naughton is not a central defender which doesn't help

I think Cabango didn't adapt well to the centre of the back three. He's very aggressive and needs that cover behind him to be able to go and win the ball.

Mind you, if we'd taken any of the three gilt edged chances we had none of that would have mattered.

Should have reverted to 4- 4- 2 for this game. That said, we fell into the hoofball trap with the midfield virtually spectators for the second half.
Some spectacularly awful goal tests from us and Hudds first a wicked deflection in was another game low on entertainment.
Surely Lowe can't keep starting in games?
highlights for me - Cabango taking charge in the defence, Gyökeres looks to play football and Palmer was direct.

Yep, although we stuck a few in and around their keeper right at the end. But there was never really a big threat from us there.

We weren't on it today after the opening 15/20 mins. Not even close. Not picking out runners, communication way off, nothing stick with the front men. Shape went missing. A really poor team display, and not many good individual ones either. I thought Gooey was good. Cabango struggled a bit in the central role (def missed Joe). Naughts doesn't fill me with confidence in his own position, let alone CB. We missed the energy and link up play of Gibbs White. Palmer seemed to want to take on the world when he came on rather than play as a team (same as Ayew at times). Grimes didn't seem to get involved much.

I think we need to get Ryan Bennet in asap to anchor that defence and that will help at the back. The others will take a bit of time to get going I suppose. We need to see more from Lowe. And I'm not sure what we do about Gyökeres, he looks really lightweight where it matters (I know nothing about him though, so hopefully I'm wrong).

This is us at the next level you asshole...and the same goes for all the other rimjobs like Morgan.

How are you taking the defeat Bryn? ;)

Not well Phil. Sorry for the cursing. I'm sure my old Mum will tell me off terribly in the heaven she believed in so much!

How's the garage doors Bryn??

Thanks for asking LR. They are still perfect. They bring a bit of Beverley Hills glamour to our little road.

Haha, me too, I ought to stop watching games on the laptop in my office which has a second monitor attached. I spotted an email that said one of my inboxes was 97% full so I spent part of the 2nd half deleting hundreds of emails with only one eye on the match which was on the second monitor. It's far too easy to get distracted from these soulless games.
