Love the line that notes alcohol will still be available to the corporates in attendance.

It's almost as if those ruling the country (and football) give zero fucks about their religion really, as those with wealth will always be accommodated, while the plebs will be told exactly what they can and can't do.

It's yet more evidence that handing such a huge event to a country like Qatar was a mistake of epic proportions.

Never really a mistake by those who make the decisions though - corruption and greed tells its own story

Will men and woman be arrested in the stadiums if they hug each other when their team scores. CCTV everywhere be careful who you hug.

They'll possibly bring in a rule last minute to stop men and woman sitting next to each other.

FIFA confirm no alcohol allowed in World Cup stadiums.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63674631

Alcohol will not be sold at the World Cup's eight stadiums in Qatar after Fifa changed its policy two days before the start of the tournament.

Alcohol was set to be served "in select areas within stadiums", despite its sale being strictly controlled in the Muslim country.

Those in corporate areas of stadiums at the tournament will still be able to purchase alcohol.

The World Cup starts on Sunday when Qatar play Ecuador.

Budweiser, a major sponsor of Fifa, had exclusive rights to sell beer at the World Cup.

"Following discussions between host country authorities and Fifa, a decision has been made to focus the sale of alcoholic beverages on the Fifa fan festival, other fan destinations and licensed venues, removing sales points of beer from Qatar's Fifa World Cup 2022 stadium perimeters," said a statement from world football's governing body.

"There is no impact to the sale of Bud Zero which will remain available at all Qatar's World Cup stadiums.

"Host country authorities and Fifa will continue to ensure that the stadiums and surrounding areas provide an enjoyable, respectful and pleasant experience for all fans.

"The tournament organisers appreciate AB InBev's understanding and continuous support to our joint commitment to cater for everyone during the Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022."

The Football Supporters' Association (FSA) criticised the timing of the decision to ban the sale of beer for most fans.

"Some fans like a beer at a game and some don't, but the real issue is the last minute U-turn which speaks to a wider problem - the total lack of communication and clarity from the organising committee towards supporters," said an FSA spokesperson.

"If they can change their minds on this at a moment's notice, with no explanation, supporters will have understandable concerns about whether they will fulfil other promises relating to accommodation, transport or cultural issues."

Ntcham had a run out this afternoon in a 1-1 draw with a very strong Panama side, wonder if our lads have had a sneaky bet on who arrives back in South Wales first.

I can’t wait for this. Wales at a World Cup. I’ve literally waited my entire life for it.

I completely missed that he'd become a Cameroon international this year. Good for him, hope he does well.

The 1990 World Cup is the first I have strong memories of and the Cameroon v Argentina match still remains one of my favourite ever games. Cameroon were a completely unknown quantity in this country and everyone thought they'd get hammered. Instead they played some brilliant football while also kicking Argentina (Caniggia in particular) off the pitch and won the game. They had 2 men sent off, but they wouldn't have had enough players to finish the game if they played like that today. Great stuff.

Someone posted a Mail link on twitter earlier,I’m not going to post the link because I don’t share Mail links but it said……………

'FIFA should be ashamed of themselves': Fans who spent £5,000 jetting to the World Cup demand REFUNDS from tournament chiefs for 'giving in' to conservative Qatari royals who 'ruined the tournament' by BANNING stadium beer sales two DAYS before kick-off

Ruined the tournament mind.

Agree, proper excited for it now. Gutted we've got to wait until Sunday for it to get going.

The worst thing will be the self hating Welsh who will gloat when we go out. But they aren’t quite as bad as the edgy football hipsters who say they only care that our players don’t get injured while they’re there. Boring, soulless twats.

Agreed.
And with the players no doubt feeling the same, am convinced we'll be off to a flyer Monday.
It's the Iran game that bothers me tho, I've thought for a while Page will struggle certainly at this level.

3 up v the Baggies by half time in the PL surpasses anything I've seen them or anyone else ever do.
