At no point since the squad landed in Qatar have we even resembled a football team. These performances on this stage are a shame as there has been some great stuff away from the limelight.

Well as I’ve said I see nothing to be proud of it’s been a disaster.
Too many soppy twats around.

It’s not the soppy twats out on the field you thick twat

Please tell me there isn’t going to be an open top bus ‘welcome home’…

Allen broken again?

The injections have worn out. Fact.

Did his best, I'm sure. The new Joey (Morrell) has looked far more assured as the anchor. Says it all.

Proud to have seen us at a World Cup but we’ve severely underperformed…even for a country our size etc. Except for the last 10 mins or so v USA, it’s pretty much been like this. USA did this to us in the first half and Iran did this to us all game.

Have we underperformed though? Or is this the new level? Are Wales a busted flush now that our only 2 players of genuine quality are completely spent forces? It's quite possible that Wales will never have a player as good as Bale at his best again and may only occasionally have one as good as Ramsey at his best and there's certainly no sign of anyone on the horizon atm who is likely to become the heartbeat of the team during the qualification for the '24 Euros and the' 26 WC. Oli may become a regular soon and may become a very good player but it's an enormous ask to fill Bale's boots as a talisman let alone as a player.
