That would be the assumption, but we've seen many times in this World Cup that things don't always go to plan.

I think England have a good chance of beating France, or just as good a chance as France have of winning. I can see that one heading to penalties.

Netherlands have looked decent, so I wouldn't say Argentina are a shoe-in for that one either (albeit they are favourites). I think Brazil will certainly beat Croatia. Brazil v Argentina in the semis? Who knows who would come out on top - probably Brazil, but it's a bit of a coin-toss.

Morocco v Portugal - you'd have to say Portugal, but we saw the hassle that the Moroccans gave Spain. Even if England did beat France, Portugal would be no pushover in the semis.

Honestly, I have no idea how the rest of the tournament will play out - which is brilliant.

There you go.

Got to say Brazil have under achieved again by their standards. Am I safe to say that? Having a mare tonight 😂

No rehearsed dances today then Brazil?

Ya bunch of cry babies.

Brazil's standards aren't that great. They've been knocked out in the quarter finals in 4 of the 5 last World Cups. In the other one they got to the semis and lost 1-7 to Germany.

The Croats had worked out that Becker moves early to one side or other , first two penalties straight down the middle , amazing for a country with only 600,000 more people than Wales
