Didn’t see that tbf.

Best. World. Cup. Ever. (I’ve seen)

I might be romanticising 1970 as I was 11 and it got this 11 year old into football. We were allowed to stay up and watch the games at midnight. Even my young sister was into it. Before that rugby all the way.

Apart from being in Qatar this has been great. Even had the overhyped Englodicks ejaculating on screen before coming 5th to 8th.

Having been out to Qatar myself for the Wales games, it’s added to the whole thing for me. But I get it should never have been there at all.

1970 had the best team ever winning the World Cup but as an overall tournament this one has been the best.

The football reason I liked ‘70 better is it was a real World Cup and the countries represented the best teams and their home leagues and styles. You never saw Muller, Pele, Tostao, Riva outside internationals. Man City would beat all these teams probably and it’s the same style from them all. International teams are now second class where they were the cream of their leagues then.

I hope France can do it in the last 15, I fancy the Argies would win a penalty shoot out.

I know he’s a tax cheat, but I want to see Messi win it. Best player of his generation by a country mile.

Messi magic to clinch it for Argentina at the end? I must admit the last thing I want to see is Macron celebrating.

You said it.👍👏

That's the perfect example of why linesmen let the game go until the play is dead.
