The press and the passion

There are signs thea Eom is developing an edge to him as well, although thats long overdue.
He sprinted back and put that block in on the West Brom player by the East then gave them a fist pump.
After that he was knackered for a few minutes and couldn’t run, nor clear the ball from our area properly!

Yes, fist pumped the east stand after a fine piece of defensive work.
Hs next four touches were atrocious and put us under unnecessary pressure.

To be fair they must all be tired after a game every 3 days and the amount of work they are all putting in.
Crazy planning by the EFL

I don't buy into we had a manager bounce, like many said and which we are still riding on. Simply put, Matos has come in and got the team to do basics again and then start working on his own tactics of pressing and being more pro active. With the whole squad playing a part. Today was excellent and by far the best I have seen the team press in years. I do question not having a striker in the first half, but understand the need based on the amount of matches. I'm not sure if it was West Brom subs or Widell coming off, but I said it before Widell is starting to become the player who drives the team to press. When he went off we slightly lost that.
I am waiting to see some of the creative play from Widdell, his running and chase downs were non stop.......and if your able, check the team waiting for the second half to start,,,,,.......any player singing along to "take me to the Norh Bank way down by the sea" ...is a Jack Bastard in my eyes ....he"ll do nicely.

Well, I agree with what you say, but either he or you have got the words slightly wrong😊

Try "take me to the Vetch Field..."

But the passion is there 👍

I also liked the East stand encouraging Key yesterday 👏

Yeah I realised about an hour ago, put it down to tiredness, late night new years eve, and amedical emergency around 3-30-4 am this morning with the missis.
I must be a pain to Roger , as i alays called him by a worng name, that pissed him off.

Notable stat related to this in an OS article today:

'Swansea City lead the Championship for counter-pressures since the start of December, and by a distance. Vitor Matos' side are averaging more than 54 per game, with second-placed Middlesbrough averaging just over 50. Swansea also lead the way for defensive pressures in the opposition half.'

Crikey, shows the difference one man can make !

My wife just said she’s shocked at how many kids have had half season tickets for Christmas.
These aren’t kids (and parents) that normally go to the Swans.
The passion that Matos has injected looks like it could be paying instant dividends, on and off the pitch.
Love it!!
