• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

The Preston Party Thread!

In regards to junior football, it's half term this week so it's a fallow weekend.
If there are games being played then they will be unscheduled or friendlies.
There should be plenty of junior teams not playing this weekend.

The thing I’m excited about is the fact that if we are able to beat both Bristol City and Preston this week there will be a huge feel good factor around the place. We all know that the 2 matches will be bloody tough and any result is possible, but getting 2 wins would be magical… especially with it most likely being the biggest ever Home FOOTBALL crowd we have seen at the stadium.

You have to also factor in there is a difference in about £10 each for the tickets between the 2 matches. As Dar mentioned these matches kicking off at 12.30 means lots of youngsters are tied up with their normal Saturday morning activities. I think we will sell a few more tonight and tomorrow morning for the Bristol Match and the crowd will be swelled a little.

Also I have to add that the Preston Match had cheaper tickets available through the tickets for key workers. That would have also led to the upsurge in ticket sales.

I’ve had to make special arrangements for my grandson to come in on his own because he’s playing tomorrow morning.

If we’d linked the games people would accuse the club of exploiting the fans ( yes I know we’ve done it before) let’s just accept it for what it is going to be…a fantastic occasion that will elevate the club’s profile…oh and the three points of course.
Agreed!

Wynne Evans to appear at half time on his appointment as ambassador for the women's team.

Oh, hang on...

Bonnie Tyler to draw the spot the ball at half time. They’d be fighting to get in
I was at Celtic Park a few years back and a lady came and sat by the side of me, she disappeared ten minutes before half time. During the half time break making the Celtic pools draw on the pitch was said lady. It was only Susan Boyle! 😳

I saw her in Swansea Market just before Christmas when I was buying a load of loose Quality Street off the sweet stall.

I said “would you like one of my Quality Street,Bon?”

She replied “no thanks Dar I’m holding out for a hero.”

Did you get a selfie when she came back?

Little did she know she was next to one 🖤🤍

In the Brizzle game sold out?

Maybe we should have ticket linked the next 2 home games
No. Loads left. A surprising amount left actually given it’s normally a good draw.

Which is exactly why I made the same point you just have. But you’ll have people telling you off for knocking the club and moaning soon.

She does a huge amount for charity. Particularly helping underprivileged kids. Really good person.
