• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Don’t think he was anywhere near as bad as Sunderland fans are making out. I know we won etc but the decisions their fans are moaning about were hardly as diabolical as 99% of them are claiming.

The first penalty shout was dubious, I’ve seen them given, I’ve seen them not given, there wasn’t much contact, but I think I’d have at least called for it if it were the other way around. We’ve had much worse not given.

The ref didn’t give it, which then leads to the sending off 10 seconds later. For me it’s a blatant red, absolutely no defending it, unless you know nothing about the rules of football or you’re a Mackem. O’Nein goes in late and with 2 feet off the floor. His studs aren’t up, but as far as I’m concerned, and please correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s an automatic red card.

The last one a lot of them mentioned is a foul in the box on Ross Stewart which leads to our 2nd goal. I saw it once and I don’t need to see it again, absolutely nowhere near a foul. It reminded me of the tackle Flynn Downes made on Kieffer Moore before we scored our 3rd in the 3-0 win down here last season, absolutely nothing wrong with it.

So in reflection, I can concur that the Mackems are a moaning, whiney, self entitled bunch who expected to beat us, but one of their players was undisciplined and cost them the game which we went on to win deservedly. I saw a lot of “they shouldn’t be in our leagues” comments as well which is always funny after we’ve beaten someone 😂

My mate a Sunderland season ticket texted me yesterday after the sending off & said a terrible tackle no doubt it was a straight red, very similar to a Lee Catermole tackle in his prime. That sums the red card up

It was as clear a red card as you’ll see mate. I’m actually baffled by how many think it was “borderline yellow”. I know the fans in the north east are known for their passion for their team, but there’s a difference between passion and delusion.

The Tackle on Joey Allen looked as bad for me to, don't think he caught Joe though which probably saved him, defo a yellow in ant case, which he didn't get either.

100%, I pointed that out in the match thread yesterday.

If we shouldn't play in their league we should support Scottish independence then? I guess the people who always use that line support the end of Britain and a new sonf call Rule Englandia

We shouldn’t play in their leagues, but only after we beat them. Otherwise none of them actually have a problem with it.

It's the same old chestnut. Ref's are rubbish especially when you lose. It happens on here.
Points lost by clubs are sometimes the ref's fault but generally the teams.

It was a red card tackle all day long. Studs up wasnt the issue, it was all about the speed he was at and being completely out of control.

Some of them replies are laughable. “Hard but fair” one of them said ffs, he went in with 2 feet off ground and was nowhere near the ball, but yeah, it was a fair challenge. Bunch of cocks!
