Thoughts on this? Personally I feel a stronger voice in Westminster for the home nations can only be good thing.

My fear with Plaid is the independence overkill, the SNP seem to have taken the eye off the ball when it comes to what Scotland needs and gone too far down the rabbit hole with chasing the independence dream for Scotland.

If others dream of Welsh independence was fulfilled on the very terms that left leaning types want? It would mean never ever seen before restructuring of Wales’s NHS being placed into the hands of E- grade idiots of type that have taken decades NOT to build a relief road, and left Wales at the bottom of league tables.

“Safe in their hands” NOT!!! BUT the Welsh Nat daydreaming is always backed up with “how to build a box girder bridge” standard fantasy! Hey Presto as easy as that!

And I guess the Professor Robert Leonard resignation would be advance forewarning of the destructive impact of even greater devolved power(s).

That is why I guess Welsh language academics are always are in the front of the queue for independence as opposed to Professor Karol Sikora and Professor Robert Leonard etc types who know how the real world in the NHS actually works.

BUT don't worry mun, Welsh Nats say Wales will charge England money for water and everything will be dandy after that. LOL!!!
Can't even manage to organise ourselves a decent airport, never mind anything else.

Indeed, absolutely bang on!

Thankfully if full independence was ever to get to referendum stage in Wales? WELSH and ENGLISH heavy-hitters from the BMA, Royal College Of General Practitioners, Royal College Of Surgeons, Royal College Of Radiologists and Royal College Of Nursing etc would come to the rescue by warning of the catastrophic consequences of Wales going it alone.

On the subject of airports? Full Independence was coincidently likened by a local senior clinician during “in-house” Morriston Respiratory Assessment Unit set up, to those movie scenes when the pilot of a plane loses consciousness, for the non-pilot passenger to then take over the controls aided by control tower instruction.

Full Welsh independence would be like having an unconscious pilot, an unconscious passenger and no control tower from 'day zero/day one'. BECAUSE......

Welsh Government politicians of the left have a PROVEN track record and history for appalling: mismanagement, money wastage and obscene reverse prioritisation, whereupon 'superfluous non-urgent' comes way before emergency requirements and desperate need.

Add to that damning 'previous' for taking decades to eventually get off the starting block, only to then postpone plans anyhow.

AND? Entering re-negotiations severely weakened and compromised by being ‘THE’ country that's the one carrying a begging bowl, whilst at the mercy, charity and goodwill of another. What a position to be in hey?

And funny thing isn’t it? Some yearn desperately for full independence, whilst wanting the best of both worlds thinking that they can cherry-pick future reliance on England.

On a nicer note i.e. my previous mention of Welsh patients traveling to Liverpool for English NHS expertise/specialty for eye cancer, after being referred to by Singleton Hospital?

Most people think eye cancer automatically means that sight in an affected eye is lost, BUT Apparently sometimes sight can be saved.
