The first ever season of play offs in the football league.

Final day of regular season, we had to win, somebody else had to lose (cant remember who?) it happened and we were in the play offs.

Played a team from the division above. We ground out a win over Rotherham to send them down.

Then Torquay in the final (over 2 legs home and way. none of this Wembley nonsense) I remember lee sharpe's speed and a mass brawl at the vetch, then in jack weather ( as my cardiff friends call it) pissing rain getting the draw away to go up.

memories of a time when Sean Mcarthy was a legend.

Believe!

NB: at my age the above memories may be somewhat unreliable.

I was at the second leg of the Swindon v Gillingham game. My grandparents lived in Wiltshire and we happened to be up there at the time so my old man took my grandfather and myself along.
