I would say that football has it right with the rule of if you want a drink during the game you can't take it to seat.
There's the odd idiot who runs towards the opposition fans but in the main policing, stewarding and segregation works.

Rugby has become more about the build up than the actual match.
Too many than ever before getting bladdered before game.
Plus the up and down brigade and now vomit vermin!
Also fights amongst fans are happening during and after games.

Is it just alcohol? Some are telling me the urinals are empty but the cubicles full.
A lot of people blowing their noses in there....

Cricket can be a long day and that is where I've seen the worst drunkenness.
Funnily enough at St.Helens of all places
Edgbaston gets rowdy especially for aT20 finals day but I saw nastiness back in the 90's at Swansea.
Some old boy went to fight a load of youths who'd spilled cans of lager all over a kids collection of football and rugby magazines.
The mother was distraught, son froze.
A steward moved them on and they all laughed, stumbling on the way.
My old man had to stop the old boy 🙈

Darts seems ok even if it is rowdy for the big events. Plenty of booze there but no issues.

Boxing can be eventful and noisy but most seem controlled even if a lot of booze is consumed.

Can't comment on rugby league but I'm not aware of issues.

Hockey, netball are popular sports and seem to be supported well especially by friends and families of players.

Horse racing can have issues but I think in the main it's a day out where most behave.

I've missed out loads of others but I can't say I'm aware of problems at any squash , badminton or swimming regattas.

My frustration with laws, rules, regulations is that they're invariably aimed at stopping idiots causing harm. If there were only fewer idiots to cater for.

I suspect a lot of it is a result of people going a bit wild after lockdown. Not an excuse for that sort of behaviour, but maybe a reason.

You're right that some sports are excused stuff that football would get pilloried for. I've been to plenty of events with attendances of 40-50,000+, but the most uncomfortable I've ever been about behaviour and potential violence is in Cardiff on a Rugby day.

At least with standing in grounds you could move away from the morons , with all seater you are stuck with them
