I’m asking a fair question.
Why is watching women’s cricket of interest?
The drama of “ashes” cricket is seeing the likes of Johnson bowling 95mph bouncers on a sun baked track.
I just can’t comprehend watching a much inferior product. That’s my point.
I can sort of understand if you enjoy the “hundred” as that isn’t really cricket. But genuine test cricket I’m lost.
Surely you must see where I’m coming from? The drama is based on the “edge” and not just the athleticism but the hard edged professionalism. You won’t see the blokes laughing after dropping catches.
I know you think this is sexist. It isn’t. I simply don’t understand as fan of test cricket how you’d be interested in this series.
It's not that long ago that people packed out stadiums to watch rugby players who spent more time at the bar than training. People still pack out darts venues watching 'sportsmen' who look like they'll be dead of a heart attack in a few years. So I don't think watching sport is all about people loving athleticism and hard edged professionalism.
