• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Adam Blackmore column: How Russell Martin is 'rubbing off' on both the players and fans https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66548028

It’s uncanny how history repeats itself. Fair play, his PR and self promotion is top notch. I thought the Waiter had it nailed; Brenno was good, but Martin is a whole new cult.

Classic case of blinded by bullshit, some of ours are still suffering from it, it's potent stuff.

Too right it's potent stuff, it could even make a nation impose trade sanctions on itself by leaving one of the most powerful trading blocks in the world that's right on its own doorstep! 😂😂😂

Innit.....

Whatever club he happens to be managing, he gives his all and tries to immerse himself in the local culture.

I think we forget sometimes: football is an awful, brutal, unforgiving profession. People give 100% to their cause at any given time, yet may still end up getting shafted.

Have a look at Rodgers's comments going back to Celtic a second time. He knew that many supporters wouldn't be happy. But you can both love a club, and yet want to further yourself professionally elsewhere. It isn't a binary choice.

Martin is a good bloke. He did an ok job here in tough circumstances. Both parties move on. That's life.
