We are all aloud an opinion....Ah. Now I understand.

I think this is the point. Regardless on feelings about the player this would be one of the most significant transfers since relegation as it symbolises a whole different direction of travel for the club.Back to the title of ‘whatever your thoughts on Grimes’ (and we can go round all day), what worries me more than him leaving is why is he leaving. Why now after not long ago he signed a new deal and said he wanted to see his career out here? Why doesn’t Darling want to sign a new deal? Why did it take a lot of work by the players to convince Cabango to stay at his boyhood club?
These aren’t players who are moving up, their options are sideways. Is it purely money? Or is it a sign that things are such a mess behind the scenes that even long-serving players have had enough?
It's this for me. I couldn't really care less that Grimes the player is leaving and had this been the summer, under a new manager, I think things would have been different.
I guess you would question why a bloke who has three very young kids and his whole family living close by (apparently) would decide to up sticks at this stage in his career to a similar club to us. If it was about the money I am sure he would have pushed for a move, and got one, long before now.
At the start of the month, he posted a gushing message on his personal Instagram account about the club on his 10 year anniversary. This wasn't a puff piece on the Swans account and seems very unusual to do if his head was turned at that point.
Whatever the reasons, it doesn't suggest things at the club are going well. Which the results are backing up too.
