Quite a few do it Coops, when I was paying before, I used Vinnys but never again, it was still full of wax, a few weeks later. When I found out my doctors were doing referrals, I went down, the nurse looked into ears, and she was gobsmacked that I’d had them done recently.

Some people do say that if you keep putting olive oil in your ears, it will eventually drain out, but I’ve never tried it.

I have no intention of walking around for days on end with oily ears. That cannot look or feel very attractive.

My dear old mother used to smoke that amount in a couple of days, she lived till 86!

Also have it in one ear. I’d guess the lager takes your mind off it. Same here and when I’m distracted.

They prescribe marijuana for it here in Canada - which is legal here anyway. But if you can get some i hear (pardon the pun) good things about its effects

No I wouldn’t fancy it either, but believe it or not, that people that suffer regular ear wax build up, they advise to put a few drops of olive oil in once a week to prevent it. I never do though, can’t stand the blinking stuff.

I was thinking earlier how they managed hundreds of years ago with ear wax problems, and google showed me this.

It seems that the first time hearing loss was written about may have been around the time of ancient Egypt. Indeed, in the era around 1550 BCE, the Egyptians apparently had a remedy for hearing loss: a brew consisting of goat urine and insect eggs.
