Swans were promoted to the first division.
👍

I was there too.. the infamous double decker bus journey from Preston station.

As a fledgling 16yr old, life wasn't any better. The trip back saw me and my mates planning trips we could only have dreamt of.

I remember being on one of the Buses, but dont recall anything ,what happened on you bus?

Our bus saw the Blackburn fans and our fans started shaking the bus for a laugh.. i seriously thought it was going to tip over

I remember being on the services - think it was Kenning - where there was a bridge connecting both sides of the motorway, and the Blackburn fans stopped on the opposite side and came running over.

I was playing and on the committee of Neath League side, Longford. We'd booked a weekend away in Blackpool months before, not knowing what the significance of that weekend would end up being. The coach driver agreed to drive to Preston on the morning of the game
We got tickets, and thereby witnessed one of the best days of our lives, as Swansea supporters. Doesn't happen too often in life.

Whilst the Reading Wembley day was incredible for the younger generation as well as everyone else. I just feel so lucky to have witnessed the day which meant a footballing miracle had been achieved.

It was a strange but great day.. being behind the goal when Leighton James scored the terrace went mental. We had Blackburn fans to our right supporting Preston as they needed to beat Bristol Rovers away on the last day to pip us. The Blackburn train crossed ours at Stafford when both trains stopped just a platform apart. Then we got the customary bricking from Cardiff fans leaving Cardiff Central. Fab day one for the memory.

Very sad day for me, I was working and couldn’t get time off to go to the match, but obviously turned into a wonderful day. 😁
