• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

When he was initially brought in his role existed. When we had a re org his role no longer existed and he was paid off.

This happens every year at the majority of multi million pound business.

It really isn’t that hard to understand, unless your surname is Mulder.
That doesn't look good for the owners then as they were the ones that signed him off both incoming and outgoing. Not a good look at all.
It looks like they have put their faith in people to make these decisions and they have had egg on their faces.

Maybe as a club, we have neglected due diligence and it's bitten us right on the backside.

It might be a case of stop what you keep doing or forever be dozy and dim.

Things change, people come and go, that what happens. The new ownership group are a breath of fresh air, only people like yourself look for fault and it's boring.

I'm out.

100% they are a breath of fresh air, I don't disagree with you there. It doesn't give them free reign and a free pass if things go wrong or are discovered to have been incorrect.

Fuck me.

No, you are probably correct.
You do seem to not like others views if they don't align with your own.

I have a low threshold for people who chat shit.

New CEO takes over business, new CEO has a different way of working, people leave roles. That's how the real world works.

Honestly.

The new owners seem very positive and I think long term will be great for us. When new owners do come in there is often a lot of change for the first couple of years as they tweak things to get it right especially if they are coming from outside football and have not got much experience of the industry. We will probably see more change and I would expect a new Director of Football to come in eventually to help Gorringe with the football side of things but then it will settle down once they trust what they have built. If Sheehan is replaced I just hope the new manager is not involved in hiring too many staff because usually that does not work and perpetuates the merry go round.

Exactly, that the way it works, always has done always will.

The merry go round of a new manager, new coaches, new approach is what makes me cling on to the hope that Sheehan can turn this around.

You think Gorringe has taken over the business that is Swansea City?
You think that it was his call regards Montague leaving 🤣🤣

What Smurph is saying, he believes that role with Montague was no longer required hence why he left. It would be interesting if they did bring another person in to do that role then.

It's kind of gone off track, I was highlighting Gorringe said that Montague was brought in by the previous regime.....he was brought in whilst the new owners were here.
Even if he is suggesting that it was Coleman who brought him here, Coleman although acting as chairman at the time was and still is a board member when the current regime took over.
It might be classed as shit by some but that is actual fact.

Are you sure he was talking about Montague? I thought he was talking about Coleman instead which would be correct.

Fuck me, you're at it again.
So you can't answer it!
Just trying to be silly with a deflective response?

I'm filling you in the drawer with one or 2 others with the title
"Think they know, don't have a clue and laugh at posts to make themselves feel better"
