• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

This group have no idea what they have signed, no idea at all

Rupert doesn’t seem very bright considering he’s a big wig in shell.

I’m glad Jonathan C isn’t my lawyer. Barely knew an answer to some pretty straight questions

20 years to end like this. Even if I disagree there should still be reasons that stand up to scrutiny.

The shifting of blame for the decision was in full flow tonight, how many times did DD try to lay it elsewhere!

Yeah. Dave can get to fuck with his argument that he inherited the position in the summer.

He was my vice chair. He was on the board for years. He had the opportunity for Lisa and I to continue to stay involved, before keeping us out of the loop to the point we felt we couldn't continue. Oh, and the point of continuity, Rupert Thomas was on that legal subgroup for years too.

Cowardly.

Sadly, their non-answers to Lisa show they have no idea what they've signed. Their answers to me on whether they had sufficient funding in place to pursue litigation only confirmed they were too risk averse to do it. If so, they should have stepped aside and let someone else take a crack.

Thats interesting....I suspect the old board are to blame according to him

That was an absolute shitshow. Not only is it clear that they’ve no idea what they’ve signed up to the absolutely shameful attempt at the end to shift the blame into their predecessors was an act of abject cowardice. Everyone involved in that should be embarrassed.

Rupert Thomas has been on the legal sub group for four year. Dave Dalton was vice chair last year. Any claim that they didn’t know the situation is a bare faced lie and they should be ashamed.

Inherited an outstanding issue ( even though he was fully involved) yes. Inherited a signed document no. The agreement was signed on his watch.

Good lord. As Boba Fett said during the Mandalorian "Fortune favours the wretched"

So the shares are not worth a w**k, then basically.

Between all the gumph and waffle that was being sprouted, that's what I thought.
But that's the same as I felt 2 hours before listening to the gumph and waffle

Certainly squirming at certain questions
Certainly taking an avoid answering at any cost approach to others.

Even coming out with the bs at the end to Andy. Constantly "we inherited"
We had our disagreements when Andy was on the board, but I never thought, let alone implied he was a lying B'satrd.
Phil picking them up for giggling at a person making a statement.
Them saying "we'll have a look at your questions and maybe answer them" to Lisa.
In other words "we'll answer with that's under NDA"

No definitive "we'll issue a statement stating the action was never against the club" Certainly thought I had voted (twice) for action against the sellers not the club

I understand that the Trust had a duty of care to try and negotiate a settlement out of court, but to be fast approaching the 6 year point without being further forward than we were, is also unacceptable.
Previous and present Trust board members need to accept their part in this debacle.

Me?
Not fuken impressed with the whole attitude of those leading the meeting.
Their actions this week, have in my honest opinion, sold the Trust membership past and present, down the river.
Certainly well passed No confidence
