I think Hourihane was the final piece of the jigsaw in this seasons team. Plus the emerging form of the likes Grimes and Fulton.
I believe we will finish second behind Brentford

Welcome back :)

I think it'll finish Brenturd, Swans, Norwich via play offs.

I'm thinking the same but I wouldn't be surprised if Brentford hit a rough patch. They looked shaky when under pressure yesterday and no-one puts season long runs on in this division.

I think we had our dip but our defence saved us, Norwich are in theirs now so I guess it's down to Brentford to see if they can sustain their form.
Totally agree. That third Brentford goal ... the defenders slip :| he didn’t even get back up
They are getting the breaks too

It would take a disastrous run of form to cost us a place in the playoffs now, top 2 will take some doing but not unachievable.

Monk managed it for Sousa but I trust Grimes is more of a man than Garrrrrrry will ever be.

With the number of games remaining any of the top teams could be badly hit by a couple of injuries.
How would Brentford cope if Toni was out for a month or more?
How would we cope if we lost Ayew and/or Lowe?

It would take a remarkably bad turnaround in form to see us miss the play offs now. In fact it would probably be us needing to turn promotion form into relegation form in the remaining games.

As was in the other thread yesterday, the difference this time compared to last season is you have three teams pulling clear whereas at this stage last year we have as many points as West Brom had and they were top.

Nobody can deny how good Brentford look at the moment but Norwich were looking almost unstoppable a few weeks back and predicted to pull away but have hit a dodgy spot.

The difficulty now for all teams is the volume of fixtures (I think both us and Brentford have 6 left to play this month starting on Wednesday) I do firmly believe anything could happen but the plus point for the top 3 is that we have all put ourselves in a position where I do believe that the final top 2 will be taken by any 2 of the current top 3

As for the play offs, someone in there almost always starts to implode and a team comes out of the pack with a good run of form. Who it is clearly remains to be seen

Cardiff the team to come out of the pack?
