• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Can this be done without going into a branch?
TSB are a pain!
They've written to me saying an ISA I have with them hasn't been touched for 3 years.
If I don't withdraw or deposit within next month they'll freeze the accout.
There's not very much money in the account so surely they won't be sad to see me leave!

With Lloyds online banking you can freely transfer money between current and ISA accounts

Remember it is tax free savings so even if it is only a few hundred pounds then it is easy to transfer to another provider ?
If you want to transfer it to your current account, you can do it online ( if you bank online ), in writing or by going into a branch

Stupid question: Why don't you deposit £1 with them why you think about what you want to do?

Glyn the interest rates are miniscule. I feel that saying they will freeze my account shows they aren't interested in my custom.

Transfer it into a stocks and shares ISA with somebody like Vanguard Dickie, add a few quid to it every month, forget about it, and in 10 years time, or longer, you may be pleasantly surprised.

An ISA is a bank account like all the others, the only limitations are that you may not open more than one a year and pay more than 20k in a year.

Depending who you are with you should be able to transfer it out easily enough

Natwest are the same. Can swap money around between all the accounts I have with them via the app.

This was more than a month ago so what happened? Don't keep us in suspense.

Do what Lifey says Dicky. Or at least transfer it to another provider's cash ISA (rates are getting better). If you transfer it out to a non isa account you lose the tax break, even if it's not very much.

I'm not licenced to give financial advice. Swans may go down as well as up.
