What a fuking racket that is, looking for a cover for a week and prices are ridiculous, greedy twats.

We're taking the boy out for his first trip (and probably only trip based on the cost) to Disney World next Feb. My wife has a couple of medical conditions and was being quoted a minimum of £500 to cover the three of us for the States.
I went through Barclays and can get a combo of annual worldwide travel insurance and breakdown cover for £12.50 a month. Once we added on the pre-existing conditions, the premium for that brought it to a total of £270 for the year.

The bank insurance with my current account was free for UK and certain countries, but didn’t cover cruises or medical conditions or, weirdly, Switzerland. Then it became more expensive when the anomalies were priced in. So I suppose the truth is, we can’t really compare, just need to find the cheapest for your circumstances as we’re all over a barrel.
