I just came back from Madeira walking the laverdas which was great but very hot. My Mrs wants to do Fiords too so i have no doubt we will have to do it at some stage.

40th Anniversary in November, not sure on what to do, Tesco Cafe is looking favourite at the moment

I just paid £ 382 for 12 month policy including cruise cover with Allclear Steve, I have COPD and Atrial Fibrilation, we found only couple of quid difference between single trip cover and annual cover

400 quid for travel insurance dear me, I'd never pay it, more expensive than my house insurance that is Doh!

We went to Menorca a few years ago. Rained a lot and was windy and cold. Enjoy.

It was bad in June when we had that glorious weather back home. Been far too hot here in Menorca this week but looking at the rain in Sketty this morning perhaps I shouldn't complain.

Ain't seen any rain up in Blaengwynfi or Maesteg today, sorry did have a couple spits of rain safternoon very short lived though.

Weather can be so unpredictable, right? 😅 I feel you on the hot Menorca days, but hey, it's all part of the adventure!

Seems like I left them with the Great British Weather system, serves em right I say

We're in our 60's though, I'm on Statins, Mrs is on Tabs for Osteoporosis :(

My wife and i paid £159 in May 2017 for worldwide travel insurance travelling to the states. Had a heart attack in December of that year with 1 stent fitted, and now on statins and a couple of other tablets per day . Have generally been in good health since and had to pass a Bruce protocol fitness test for my job last year, which i did. Going to the states again in November ( hopefully) and the cheapest i was quoted for an adequate policy was £882. Others were anything between £1100-£1500.

I'm sure I've said this before in this thread, but have you checked with your bank? My wife has a a pre-existing condition and she was getting huge quotes everywhere she looked. I took someone's advice to try through my bank (Barclays) and it was £260 for annual cover including cover for pre-existing conditions.

I also don't have to tell them about any new conditions that occur over the length of the policy. Seems weird, but I've got it in writing.

Got to ring them tomorrow morning, not sure what the price will be or if they will cover me but will ask. Thanks for your help.

My lad went to Berlin last week for a few days and our bank insurance didn’t cover him. I dived into the pride comparison websites expecting to pay something in the region of £20 for a one off policy, and was amazed to get deals thrown at me for £3 to £4, and for decent levels of cover.

Oh, the struggles are real! I feel you on the travel insurance maze. When I was prepping for Ireland, the quotes were wild – felt like they were charging for peace of mind! After some serious comparison, I finally snagged a reasonable one. It's like a game, right? But once you find the sweet spot, it's all worth it.

Same here, horrible.

Go for a year’s insurance Max, it won’t be much. If you book airport parking, fast track security, lounges, etc from Holiday Extras you’ll find that they’ll give you a voucher for insurance.
