Travel Insurance

Understand the reasoning. We like to try and find little restaurant gems in the evening. Looking forward to trying a new one that has opened up when we go again. Cala d'or is prefect for the holiday as we love the picturesque coves and the stunning marina. We get an apartment for the flexibility but we have Spanish friends who own them so that certainly helps.

Is it as hilly as it looks on the Travel brochures? Spain and the Balearic's suit us cause if we got to get home on the hurry up for the lad its only a two hour flight.

Never bother with hotels. We‘ve booked a large apartment in the north of Portugal on the coast. € 630 for 8 days.

Just brought some port home from Porto. Enjoying it.

Went to Cascais when it was a fishing village in the early 90s, it was lovely. Built up since and a bit disappointed when we went back (only because of how we remembered it). I love the Portugeuse people, not so fussed on the Spanish. Liked Majorca though and might well go back soon.

Did you get your insurance Max?

I wouldn't say it was hilly compare to Mumbles although - there are a few inclines but never thought about it

Port is the nectar of the Gods. Was in Porto last season and watched a Boavista game. Toilets in the stadium were marginally better than the old Vetch. Off to Viano do Castelo on Friday.

I'm quite friendly why a guy who is something of a Bass fishing aficionado over in Portugal, so I hoping to go over and have a few early morning sessions with him, hopefully get there at some point, I really need to be a lot fitter and agile to keep up with him though, if only we could simply turn the clock back

Turning the clock back - what’s not to like! Sturdy rod and line with a good offshore wind in west Wales for bass from the beach. No idea about Portugal- windy all the time I reckon.

And mine, been there 4 times.

And ours. I wouldn't describe it as hilly, Max. Yes, you do need to walk down a hill to the Marina, however it's not overly steep or long.

What I mean about turning the clock back is regarding fitness to go romping over rocks and rough ground lure fishing.
Don't need a sturdy rod for Bass, I ain't fished for bass with bait for more than 10yrs. my 9ft Tenryu Red Dragon is perfect for any Bass, not that I've used for about 4/5yrs, but its the perfect Lure rod for Bass with my Van staal reel.

What i would say is whatever it costs you will find the true value when it comes to making a claim, i have had to make a few claims recently and it was quite hard going and fairly stressful to sort out.

But they did pay up in the end.

That's the trouble with these insurance leeches, Pacy, our mutual mucker is cruising up through the Norwegian Ffords the lucky sod, sending me Piccies to make me jealous, off to visit a glacier tomorrow, I've told him to look out for the Polar Bears

I just came back from Madeira walking the laverdas which was great but very hot. My Mrs wants to do Fiords too so i have no doubt we will have to do it at some stage.
