It’s taken everyone by surprise. I sometimes have a lunchtime drink in the Robin Hood. They’ll be crushed. The only crumb of comfort is that that the damage will be mostly retail from what I’ve seen so far. Not many ground floor residential, but I don’t know if there’s occupancy above some of the shops.
The pictures earlier looked as if the water was also spread away from the High Street to more residential roads?

And I imagine there’ll be flats above at least some of the shops.

Really shitty for the small shops as well. The big ones will at least have bus8ness interruption insurance etc.

Awful as well in Ewyas Harold.

I completely agree with you there but people are dismissing how massive this is.
It’s not massive at all. It’s stupidity but not in any way ‘massive’, except on the twatosphere.. It’s a 10 second clip from November 2024 that impacted nothing. No one even noticed or complained at the time. The BBC certainly needs reform to reduce bias and political appointments, mostly right wing. This is a concerted attack on the only even vaguely impartial news service we have left.

Every expert in defamation law you say, please stop you just made me laugh so loud, I really don’t get you, my initial post is mainly why should the BBC licence payer’s foot the bill if Trump succeeds in his legal action, but for some reason you are trying to spin my post into some right wing conspiracy post. All I can say, Give your head a wobble.
“I can see him getting quite a substantial amount.

Like him or loathe him, for the edit the BBC did, I believe he deserves some form of compensation”

That’s directly quoting you, you idiot.

Go and read up on it.

This. A hundred times this.

It is massive,it’s gigantic considering it’s the BBC.

I haven’t seen that. I’m not going to drive down to have a look! It’s all awful.

The stupidity of the BBC action is to put Trump on the moral high ground, which let's be honest is somewhere he's never been before. 🙄

No, it’s not.

It’s a frivolous law suit designed to distract by Trump, and designed to remove one of the last barriers against a non stop barrage of right wing propaganda in the UK.

Oh look out, here comes the abuse. I will reiterate for you once more, you know the part where I say ‘MY INITIAL POST’ I hope that helps.

It’s irrelevant if it’s caused him no harm this should be all about the harm the BBC has caused itself.
Its relevant because if he sues it is for damages, call it what you want, but I agree he BBC has fucked up and caused its own problem but it’s done and dusted.
